Surina: Foraging behaviour of the bee Osmia apicata Smith |
Stamens of the Onosma flower are bent
together and conceal pollen within the cone thus formed. The bee shakes the
cone with her legs and pollen drops to her body. A rustling sound is produced
by this activity. |
