Andrena barbareae Panzer, 1805 Apis atra Scopoli, 1763 Alpine species. Scopoli found it in Gorjuše between Bled and
Bohinj in 1761 (Alpine region) and described it as Apis atra. He mentioned
the plant on which flowers it was found, Laserpitium latifolium (Apiaceae),
which blooms in the summer (closely related species A. cineraria and A.
danuvia are active only in spring). Polylectic species. Bivoltine, active in April and May and in
July and August. |
