Megachile parietina (Geoffroy in Fourcroy, 1785)

 

 

Mediterranean species. In the sub-Mediterranean and Alpine regions of Slovenia.

Polylectic species, visits mainly Lamiaceae and Fabaceae. Nests made of sand are built in hollows in stones.

Univoltine. Flies from April to June.

 

Female on a cell, provided with pollen and nectar. Brje pri Komnu, Kras, May 2008.

Razširjenost vrste v Sloveniji.
