Female from Črnuče, Ljubljana, collected in July 1994.	Megachile genalis Morawitz, 1880 European species. In Slovenia only near Črnuče (pre-Alpine region) and Podčetrtek (sub-Pannonian region). Known foodplants are the Asteraceae. Nests in hollow stems. Cells are made of scraps of leaves. Univoltine. Flies from June to September.
	Razširjenost vrste v Sloveniji. Ob Savi pri Ljubljani je bil najden en sam primerek. Druga najdba je iz Podčetrtka.
