Female from Strunjan, collected in August 1993.	Megachile albisecta (Klug, 1817) Mediterranean species. In Slovenia found only once near Strunjan (sub-Mediterranean region). Oligolectic, specialized on Asteraceae (e.g. Cirsium). Nests in various pre-existing cavities, mainly in the ground. The cell partitions are made of masticated leaves and scraps of leaves. Univoltine. Flies from June to August.
	Razširjenost vrste v Sloveniji. Le enkrat je bila najdena v Naravnem rezervatu Strunjan.
