Rophites quinquespinosus Spinola, 1808 European species. Widely distributed in Slovenia, absent from
the sub-Mediterranean region. Oligolectic, specialized on Lamiaceae (e.g. Betonica).
Nests in burrows in the ground, excavated by itself. Univoltine. Flies from June to August. |
