Protosmia glutinosa (Giraud, 1871) Mediterranean species, distributed in the sub-Mediterranean
region of Slovenia. Probably polylectic species (pers. obs.). Nests in empty mason
bee nests (Megachile, subgen. Chalicodoma), sphecid wasps of the
genus Sceliphron, and bees of the
genus Anthophora. The cell
partitions are made of resin. Univoltine. Flies in May and June. |
