Osmia xanthomelana (Kirby, 1802)

 

 

European species. In Slovenia in the Polhograjsko hribovje (Polhov Gradec hills, pre-Alpine region) and Kraški rob (Karst edge, sub-Mediterranean region).

Oligolectic species, specialized on Fabaceae (Hippocrepis, Lotus).

Clay cells of a nest are built in a grass tussock, among roots in loose ground, in spruce needles, in decaying wood, etc.

Univoltine. Flies in May and June.

Razširjenost vrste v Sloveniji.

Znana je iz Polhograjskega hribovja in s Kraškega roba.
