Osmia cephalotes longiceps Morawitz, 1876

 

 

East Mediterranean subspecies of a Mediterranean species. In the sub-Mediterranean region of Slovenia.

Probably polylectic species, visiting Fabaceae and Lamiaceae (pers. obs.). Nests in burrows in wood. Cell partitions are made of masticated leaves.

Univoltine. Flies in May and June.

Stamens of the flower touch the bee's abdomen, where pollen is transported.

Razširjenost vrste v Sloveniji.

Na Krasu in v Istri je razmeroma pogosta.
