Osmia bicolor (Schrank, 1781)

 

 

European species, widely distributed in Slovenia.

Polylectic species. Nests in empty snail shells. The cell partitions are made of masticated leaves. Snail shells with the nest are covered with pine needles or similar plant material when finished.

Univoltine. Flies from March to June.

Razširjenost vrste v Sloveniji.

Zelo razširjena in neogrožena vrsta.
