Melitta tomentosa Friese, 1900

 

 

Endemic species of Istria and Quarner (Croatia, Slovenia and Italy). In Slovenia at the Karst edge in Slovene Istria (sub-Mediterranean region).

Monolectic, on Campanula pyramidalis (Campanulaceae) specialized species (personal observations). Nests probably in burrows in the ground.

Univoltine. Flies in August and September.
