Melitta nigricans Alfken, 1905

 

 

European species. Distributed in the pre-Alpine, pre-Dinaric, Dinaric and sub-Pannonian regions of Slovenia.

Oligolectic, specialized on Lythrum (Lythraceae). Nests in burrows in the ground, excavated by itself.

Univoltine. Flies in July and August.

 

 

Razširjenost vrste v Sloveniji.

Nekoč pogosta v vlažnih habitatih, v sušnih letih je ponekod izginila in se v zadnjih vlažnejših letih znova pojavlja.
