Megachile pilidens Alfken, 1924 Mediterranean species. In the sub-Mediterranean and
sub-Pannonian regions of Slovenia. Polylectic species, visits Fabaceae, Lamiaceae, Dipsacaceae, Asteraceae.
Nests in various pre-existing cavities, mainly crevices between stones. Cells
are made of scraps of leaves. Bivoltine. The first generation flies from June to August, the
second in August and September. |
