Lithurgus cornutus (Fabricius, 1787) Mediterranean species. One male specimen was found near Petišovci
(sub-Pannonian region) and one female near Metlika (pre-Dinaric region of
Slovenia). Oligolectic, specialized on Asteraceae. Nests in burrows in
wood, excavated by itself. Univoltine. Flies in July and August. |
