Male on Lotus corniculatus, used as an outlook and resting spot. During short flights he marks grass stalks in his territory with his odour. Preserje pod Krimom, July 2004.

 

Hylaeus nigritus (Fabricius, 1798)

 

 

European species. In the sub-Pannonian and pre-Alpine regions of Slovenia.

Oligolectic, specialized on Asteraceae. Nests in stone crevices and other pre-existing cavities.

Univoltine. Flies from June to August.
