Hylaeus cornutus Curtis, 1831

 

 

Mediterranean species. In the sub-Pannonian and pre-Alpine regions of Slovenia.

Probably polylectic species. Nests in pre-existing cavities, e.g. hollow stems. It carries the pollen by a different method than other members of the genus. It forms a ball of pollen carried in a hollow on the face, between two horn-like processes.

Univoltine. Flies from June to August.

 

Razširjenost vrste v Sloveniji.

V Kamniku, Muriši in Podčetrtku.
