Hoplitis adunca (Panzer, 1798)

 

 

West Palaearctic species, widely distributed in Slovenia. It almost disappeared from central Slovenia after some very dry years.

Oligolectic, specialized on Echium (Boraginaceae). Nests in various pre-existing cavities, e.g. in burrows in wood. The cell partitions are made of sand and clay.

Univoltine. Flies from May to July.

Razširjenost vrste v Sloveniji.

Nekoč zelo razširjena vrsta je v sušnih letih skoraj izumrla v osrednji Sloveniji. Sedaj se njena populacija popravlja.
