Colletes cunicularius (Linnaeus, 1761) Eurosiberian species. In the sub-Pannonian, pre-Dinaric and pre-Alpine regions of Slovenia, distributed along rivers. Probably polylectic species, preferring the pollen of Salix (Salicaceae). I observed it
collecting also the pollen of Brassica
(Brassicaceae). Nests in burrows in the ground, excavated by itself. Univoltine. Flies in March and April. |
