North Mediterranean species. In Slovenia in the sub-Mediterranean, Dinaric and sub-Pannonian regions.

According to K. & L. Standfuss (2010) oligolectic, specialized on Colchicum, Smilax and Crocus (Liliaceae, Iridaceae). In Slovenia, however, collects only from Leontodon and Crepis (Asteraceae Cichorioideae), even when Colchicum flowers are also present (pers. obs.).

Univoltine. Flies from August to October.
