Amegilla garrula (Rossi, 1790)

 

 

North Mediterranean species. In the sub-Mediterranean, pre-Alpine and sub-Pannonian regions of Slovenia.

Polylectic species, visiting mainly Lamiaceae (pers. obs., Iuga 1958). Salvia glutinosa is its foodplant in Lukovica pri Brezovici (pre-Alpine region).

Univoltine. Flies from July to September.

 

The anthers touch the bee's abdomen.

Razširjenost vrste v Sloveniji.

V gričevju ob severnem robu Ljubljanskega barja, v Istri in Podčetrtku.
